In India a private security agency must hold a PSARA licence. Ask to see it and check that it is current for the state where you need guards.
2. How are guards selected and verified?
Ask about background verification, training and how replacements are arranged when a guard is absent.
3. Who supervises the guards?
A guard alone at a post is only half the solution. Ask who inspects posts, how often, and how you can reach them.
4. What reporting will you receive?

- Incident reports with clear escalation steps
- A named contact for day-to-day issues
5. Are statutory compliances handled?
Ask how wages, provident fund and insurance contributions are managed for the personnel deployed at your site.
6. Can the plan be customised?
Your gate timings, visitor flow and risk areas are unique. A good provider studies your site before proposing a deployment.
7. What does the agreement say?
Read the scope, shifts, replacement process, notice period and escalation terms carefully before signing.
